Colorado Division of Housing reports that November 2012 has set the record for the lowest number of foreclosure filings recorded for any month since 2007.

When compared to foreclosures filings in November 2011, November 2012 filings had dropped to 1450 from 2296.

Records show that during the year’s first 11 months, a drop of 6.5 percent was reported in foreclosure filings from that of the previous year during the same time frame.

The report also discloses that in Colorado State foreclosure auctions sales were down in metro counties by 31.8 percent in November than when compared to November of 2011.  The report shows that recordings dropped from 1290 to 880.

During the first 11 months of the year, foreclosure auctions sales dropped by 19.9 percent.

Foreclosure filings are the first step taken to begin the process of foreclosure.  The foreclosure process ends with the selling of the property.  Foreclosure auction sales totals is the term used to refer to foreclosed properties sales totals.
